Location Guide
The location you choose will significantly set the tone for your session. Here are a few of my favorite no-fail photography locations that I typically recommend. Each spot offers unique backdrops and vibes to enhance your images and create lasting memories!
Places I LOve:
Upper Lake Lowell
Nampa, Idaho
The upper Lake Lowell foothills offer a fantastic rustic backdrop, especially if you enjoy warmer-toned images. The sunrises and sunsets here are breathtaking and create a dreamy golden hour that’s hard to resist.
Lower Lake Lowell
Nampa, Idaho
This location boasts tall grass, lush green trees, and a dirt road, making it perfect for those seeking forest and backroads vibes. However, keep in mind that you’ll need to wear bug spray during the warmer months.
Jump Creek Falls
Marsing, Idaho
Jump Creek Falls is an amazing option if you love warmer tones and want to include the essence of adventure in your images. With its towering cliffs, dramatic sunsets, and the picturesque falls, this location is guaranteed to create a striking and edgy effect in your photos.
Katheryn Albertsons Park
Boise, Idaho
Katheryn Albertsons Park is a vibrant spot that, despite being more crowded, provides fantastic opportunities for photography throughout the year. In spring and summer, you're greeted by a beautiful array of wildflowers and blossoming trees that brighten the pathways. Come autumn, the park transforms into a perfect fall photo backdrop with its rich tapestry of orange leaves. It's a place where every season offers something special, making it a great choice for capturing stunning images.
The Military Reserve: Foothills
Boise, Idaho
This spot in Boise is absolutely one of the most popular places for photography. It’s simple yet stunning, offering endless possibilities for great shots. In the spring and summer, the grass is vibrant and green, while in late summer transitioning into fall, the grass shifts to a beautiful brown, giving it those high-desert vibes.
The Military Reserve: Near Freestone Creek
Boise, Idaho
This charming location features winding pathways, tall trees, and wooden fences, all nestled among the tall grass. It's conveniently located just across the road from the foothills.
The Military Reserve: Overlooking the Boise City-Scape
Boise, Idaho
If you're up for a hike to the top of the Military Reserve foothills, we can capture your portraits with a breathtaking view of the Boise cityscape as the backdrop. The scenery from the summit is absolutely stunning, especially during golden hour when the light adds a magical touch to your photos!
Swan Falls Dam - Above the Dam
Kuna, Idaho
This spot overlooks Swan Falls Dam and the Snake River. While I don't recommend this spot for families with little kids, it makes a great location for maternity, engagements/couples, seniors, and individuals.
Downtown Boise
Boise, Idaho
Downtown Boise is a super fun location with unique photo opportunities at every turn. Coffee shops, Freak Alley, and nearly every store on Main Street are fantastic spots for photos that truly stand out.
Idaho State Capitol Building
Boise, Idaho
The Idaho State Capitol Building is generally open to the public, and the staff are very accommodating and welcoming to photographers and visitors. Its elegant marble staircases and stunning architectural details, both indoors and outdoors, create the perfect backdrop for a high-class, elegant photoshoot.
Boise Parking Garages
Boise, Idaho
Boise offers several parking garages that provide clients with an up-close backdrop of the tall buildings and open skies.

I can come to your home to capture photos that most accurately depict who you are, in your own space! In-home sessions are perfect for lifestyle photos, boudoir, and branding.
Celebration Park
Melba, Idaho
Celebration Park is home to a monumental bridge and a picturesque riverscape set against the backdrop of the rolling high desert Owyhee Mountains. It’s a fantastic location for capturing beautiful photos, especially if you want shots near or in the water.
River Walk
Star, Idaho
Tall trees alongside the river in Star create a dreamy atmosphere, especially in autumn when the leaves burst into vibrant oranges. The dirt pathways are easy to navigate, making it a great spot for a leisurely stroll or some delightful family time near the water. With its family-friendly environment, it's an ideal place for anyone with little kids to enjoy the beauty of nature and capture some lovely photos!
Studio Boise
Boise, Idaho
Studio Boise offers an amazing array of backdrop colors, unique props, chairs, and all the goodies you could want for a studio session tailored to your unique personality and needs. Clients get an option of 1-2 backdrop colors, 1-2 outfit changes, with a $40 fee to book.
Travel / Other Locations
Have a unique location in mind?
It's way too beautiful out there for me to limit myself only to the Treasure Valley. I am willing to travel to any unique location in/out of Idaho for reasonable and fair travel fees.
